A little something extra.

Traci’s Favorite Reads

It’s hard to pick and choose beloved books and favorite authors, honestly, there are just so many that I enjoy…but to narrow down some recommendations, these come to mind:

Historic Classic: Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. This novel is not for the faint at heart at a whopping 800+ pages, but wow, what a story.

High School Favorite: Sayonara by James A. Mitchener, a prolific writer with over 150 books pinned.

Personal Collection: Agatha Christie. I love the characters of Miss Jane Marple and Hercule Poirot. My favorite books have changed over the years, yet a few still stand out: Appointment with Death (1938), Murder on the Links (1923), and of course the popular Death on the Nile (1937)

Adult Saga: Outlander (The Outlander Series) by Diana Gabaldon. I love spending time with Claire and Jamie Frazer—who couldn’t love this 1750’s Scottish Highlander—and these books are so full of drama.

Beach Read:  Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood by fellow Louisianan Rebecca Wells

Best Children’s Series: Harry Potter Series by J.K.Rowling. Rowling’s Harry Potter Series of love conquering evil is modern day genus.

Gifts for Graduates:  Welcome to Adulting by Jonathan Poklud This book should be required reading for everyone on their 20th birthday, seriously!

Inspiration:  The Rhythm of Life by Matthew Kelly Although a little wordy and repetitive, Kelly has a wonderful, refreshing take on life.

Books Gifted Recently: Make Your Bed by Admiral William H. McRaven

Current Read: Present Over Perfect by Shauna Niequist I picked up this little gem at a local book exchange. Niequist’s words just flow off the page.

Recent Purchases:  Contagious by Jonah Berger

ENJOY!
